We have had overwhelming response for this week's RSC Junior Hash Christmas Run. The run is ON! As we have exceeded the closing date, and necessary preparations have already been made, - we regret to inform that we are unable to accomodate any late entries. We trust everyone can find their way to Kelab Darul Ehsan (KDE) in Taman TAR, Ampang Jaya (after ISKL and SPCA). Please follow RSC signage to runsite and parking area. The run will start at 5pm sharp, registration from 4.30pm. After the run we will convoy to No 6 Jalan Watan 1, Taman Sri Watan, Ampang, for dinner and merriment. Please bring along your Christmas hats and cheer. For those who loose the convoy the directions are as follows:

• From KDE/runsite retrack and turn left into Jalan 4K.
• T-junction left, next T-junction right. Follow the road left (when there is a choice of straight and right).
• T-junction left and u-turn immediately. Follow road left and turn right at the traffic lights, through Taman Kosas.
• At the traffic light turn left.
• Next traffic light turn right.
• Proceed 400m and turn left into Jalan Watan 1 - 3rd house on your right.
• Please park at 45 degrees on either side of the road.

This Friday is the PD family day weekend. The program starts at 9-9.30am at the PD Army Museum. For those who are only coming for the run, here are the directions to the runsite:

Take the KL-Seremban Highway and exit ‘Port Dickson’. Traffic lights, turn right and go all the way through the toll gate and you are now on the Seremban-PD Highway. Continue all the way until you reach the traffic light – do not take the earlier exit Port Dickson/Lukut. At the traffic light turn right. Go all the way to the end – pass the Army Camp on your left – untill you reach T-junction/traffic light (4th mile). Turn right at the lights. A few hundred meters away, pass Petronas on your right and market area, and park on the left of the road in the parking area by the beach. Please follow RSC signs. If you reach the Seri Malaysia Hotel on your right, you have just missed the runsite.

Circle will be at the runsite. Be prepared for a swim in the sea. Normal guest fees of RM30 apply – excluding dinner.

ON ON for those who have signed up for buffet dinner @ RM 25 per head will be at the Bayu Beach Hotel. If you have not signed up for dinner and would like to join PLEASE contact Johan at 013 364 7373 latest by Wednesday. The buffet is catered ONLY for those numbers, who have indicated joining the dinner.

To get to the Hotel from the runsite, please go back along the coastal road, straight through the traffic light to the 5th mile. The Hotel is immediately after the PD Yacht Club on your right.

The run site area is around the grounds of University Pertanian Serdang. If you’re really late or really lost, take the (relatively) new KL-Putrajaya dedicated highway. The first R&R stop called “Sri Kembangan” is where you want to stop and join the hashers. No toll getting to run site but when you want to head home, you have to pay toll twice! On On

Directions
From KL city centre:

1. Take the North-South KL/Seremban highway and exit at the sign saying "The Mines Resort City/Kelab Kumba Kuda".
2. At the roundabout, take 3 o'clock which will land you into the Besraya Highway.
3. Pay RM1.30 toll.
4. Exit the highway when you see exit 903 for Sri Kembangan.
5. Turn right at the traffic lights.
6. Drive through town heading for Equine Park and Pasar Borong.
7. Be sure to see a sign "NAHRIM" on your right.
8. Go under (a tunnel) the KL/Putrajaya dediated highway and immediately turn left to reach the run site.
9. If you see Jusco, you have gone too far.

1. Proceed toward Kajang using the LDP Highway (this is the one cutting across the Federal Highway near Motorola and Sunway Lagoon).
2. Pay first toll (1.60) at Sunway and again 1.60 at Puchong Selatan.
3. Exit the LDP via exit 1123 for Serdang/Sri Kembangan.
4. Drive through 3 sets of traffic lights. You will pass a Jusco on your left.
5. Make a u-turn at the 3rd traffic light (Don says be careful here!) and immediately turn left into a service road leading to the KL/Putrajaya dedicated highway.
6. You will find a tunnel on your left - go through it to reach the run site. Park only on the left side of the road

Run 935 hosted by Chillie Padi is right at the end of Taman Sri Hartamas near the playground. The run site is NOT Desa Sri Hartamas – it is Taman Sri Hartamas which is the old Hartamas. If coming from Jalan Duta, you will pass Hartamas Shopping Centre on your right. The name of the road is Jalan Sri Hartamas 1. Keep going straight on this road and you will see a Petronas station on your left. Keep going till there’s no more road. In the map below, “A” is RSC Kiara and “B” is the run site. On On!

FROM KL: Take the elevated highway of Jalan Tun Razak right to the very last exit at Ampang (Toll Rm 1.50). Back on Jalan Ampang, continue through 6 traffic lights (counting ALL the lights even though you can only go straight). You will be passing Ampang Waterfront on your right (phase 1 and 2). From the 6th traffic light (if you turn right you go to Carrefour), continue straight on for another 2 km, over a small bridge and through the Kampung. Keep going to the end of the road, park at the large car park just before entering Taman Rimba Ampang.

FROM MRR2: Exit at Ampang. From Ampang Point, keep going straight through ALL the traffic lights (7 sets of traffic lights) and follow the above directions.

The run site is a hill, Bukit Besi which is behind Taman Connaught & Phoenix Plaza. If lost in the area, ask where the Angkasa Condo is (it should be on your left, then go straight until you come to traffic lights, turn right and look for Persiaran Alam Damai) SOS call GM 016 209 7226.

If coming from KL via Loke Yew Road, look out for exit signs saying “Taman Len Seng/Alam Damai” about one kilometre away from Phoenix Plaza. Keep following these signs giving priority to “Alam Damai” Once there, look out for Persiaran Alam Damai where hash signs will be posted. The run site is at the base of the hill where unoccupied bungalows are in a cul-de-sac.

If coming from KL-Seremban Highway/MRR2, take the exit marked “Desa Tun Razak” and turn right and proceed on straight till you come to a set of traffic lights, turn right and look for Persiaran Alam Damai where has signs will be posted. The run site is at the base of the hill where unoccupied bungalows are in a cul-de-sac.

• If you’re taking Pahang Road then Setapak, keep going straight all the way (you will pass JPJ/Puspakon on your right) until you come to the MRR2 underpass.
• At one point before reaching the MRR2 underpass, you will see a left turn off to Zoo Negara.
• Keep right and head toward the MRR2 underpass.
• At the MRR2 underpass traffic lights, go straight ahead until you come to a roundabout.
• Take 9 o’clock and look for the hash site right after the apartments (Bukit Mas Apartments) and condos on the top of the hill.

Run directions:
From RSC Bukit Kiara head towards Penchala Link, enter the tunnel and keep in the middle lane heading towards LDP which goes to Sri Damansara, Menjalara & Desa Parkcity. Keep right and go up the ramp and turn right. Do not go straight unless you want to go to Mutiara Damansara/Damansara Perdana. After the toll, keep left all the way until you see a Caltex station (on your left) at which time, keep right and safely make a U-turn at the underpass. After making the U-turn, keep left and take the first left turn. RSC Hash signs should now be visible.

For those of you planning to take Jalan Kuching and then Kepong main road, look for signs that read Bandar Manjalara or Desa Parkcity.

Warning:
The hares hereby warn you that you will be sprayed on with a riot of colours so please wear old clothes that you won’t mind discarding as the colours may not wash off. The good news is that old & drab clothes will be transformed into colourful ones! Bring you own colours if you like and come prepared for some fun in colour. Please bring your own supply of water to wash up and bathe in.

3. Run directions courtesy of Thomas:
   • From PJ/KL, take the SILK Highway heading for Semenyih
   • Pay toll at Taman Connaught, Ulu Langat and Sg Long.
   • Continue on the Highway avoiding the turn to Kajang on the left.
   • Go past the turn to Saujana Impian Golf Course on the left and go straight on to meet the old Kajang-Semenyih Road.
   • At the junction, turn right towards Kajang.
   • About 1km from this junction, turn left after Billion Supermarket and follow Hash signs for about 2kms to run-site.
   • Park beside a field near factories.

The ‘A’ to ‘B’ Google Map below gives a good description of how to get there. ‘A’ is RSC Dataran and ‘B’ is the run site.

1. Take Jalan Kelang Lama from Jalan Syed Putra.
2. Pass Mid Valley on right.
3. Turn into Overseas Union Garden (Parkson on left).
4. Turn right at traffic lights, go straight (pass BHP petrol station, MCA Hall on left).
5. Go straight cross flyover to Bkt Jalil.
6. From last traffic light drive 1.3 km passing the traffic light and turn right (Tenaga station left) to parking lot.

1. Alternative 1, from Puchong drive along Lebuh Raya Bkt Jalil, turn left upon reaching Bt Jalil Park.
2. Drive pass Bkt Jalil golf club on right.
3. Turn left upon reaching Tenaga Station turn left to car park.

1. Alternative 2, From Subang Jaya - use Kesas Highway, keep left for Bkt Jalil.
2. Turn right and go straight cross flyover to Bkt Jalil.
3. From last traffic light drive 1.3 km passing the traffic light and turn right (Tenaga station left) to parking lot.

Directions provided by the hare:

1. Find yourself on NKVE and head toward Klang/Bukit Raja. DO NOT turn off at signs for KLIA, Putra Jaya, Johor Bahru or to Shah Alam but follow NKVE faithfully towards Klang.
2. As you drive along, you will notice small signs with green numbers on white background. Each of them represent 100M or 0.1KM. Picture Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt doing this 100 metres in world record time of 9.69 as you flash by in your car.
3. When the sign board shows 3.8KM, turn left for Setia Alam and Meru. Go all the way to the toll booth. Zero your tripmeter at this toll booth.
4. Follow this beautiful highway in Setia Alam for 2.3KM and turn left for Setia Dagang. Go up the ramp and turn right at traffic lights.
5. Continue until 3.8KM and turn left where you will see a huge 1 metre diameter water pipe. Follow hash signs to hare's car which is a black Kia Sorento WNT 668.

Run will be around the KLCC area. Please park at the apartment basement parking, security guards are informed of all members coming for the run. Please mention that you are coming for Joshua Wong's run and you will be guided down to the car park and then brought up to the poolside where the briefing will take place before the run. You can also bring your swim suits just in case you want to swim after the run. Food will be served by the poolside after the run.

1. If coming from Damansara, Bukit Kiara:
   Go up towards Bangsar Shopping Complex(BSC), straight through the traffic lights, turn left immediately after BSC into Jln Sena, go straight about 100 meters and turn right into Jln Pudina. Go Straight until T junction and turn left and you will be at the playground.
2. If coming from Brickfields and Jalan Bangsar:
   Turn right into Jalan Maarof at the LRT station. Pass through 1st traffic lights with the mosque and BangsarVillage 2 on your left. Keep to the right side of the road and at 2nd traffic lights turn right (Maybank and McDonalds on your left). At bottom of the slope turn left. Go straight on, pass Petronas on your left untill the school on your right. Turn right into Jalan Rumpai. Go straight to the playground.

1. Take Jalan Damansara and go on into the Sprint Highway; go past Eastin Hotel on your left into Plaza Toll 'A'
2. Pay RM1 and keep RIGHT and proceed towards Taman Tun Dr Ismail
3. Go past TTDI & Pizza Hut on your right
4. Proceed on to the LDP heading towards Kepong and Sungei Buloh
5. Take the flyover, passing One Utama & Ikea on your left until you reach the Sungei Penchala Toll
6. Pay your toll and set your trip meter to zero at the toll
7. Keep LEFT after the toll. At 1.3km, turn LEFT into Bandar Sri Damansara and go straight until you see a set of traffic lights at which point, turn left
8. You will then see a Shell station on your left
9. Go straight on until you reach the next set of traffic lights and then turn LEFT at the traffic lights into Persiaran Meranti
10. Go straight on until you see a playground on your right in front of some houses

1. Turn into Bandar Sri Damansara and you will come to a T-junction with traffic lights
2. Turn RIGHT at the lights and go straight until you reach the next traffic lights at 1.3km and then turn RIGHT into Jalan Meranti which then turns into Persiaran Maranti
3. Go straight on until you see a playground on your right in front of some houses

Directions

1. Basically get on the Federal Highway and head toward Shah Alam & Klang.
2. When you have paid RM1.10 toll, drive on for about 2km - don't take the first exit yet.
3. You will see giant green vats on your left - that's when you turn left in Persiaran Selangor and a short drive up the ramp will lead you to the house of (our) amber.

You can park your car inside the brewery car park. After the run, you can freshen up and head for the pub. No particular dress code but don't come in all sweaty.

As for the run, it will be a short one so the advice is to follow the run route and not to do your own walk/run. "Even Namita should be able to do the run" says Jane.

Directions
From KL city centre:

1. Take the North-South KL/Seremban highway and exit at the sign saying "The Mines Resort City/Kelab Kumba Kuda".
2. At the roundabout, take 3 o'clock which will land you into the Besraya Highway.
3. Pay RM1.30 toll.
4. Exit the highway when you see exit 903 for Sri Kembangan.
5. Turn right at the traffic lights.
6. Drive through town heading for Equine Park and Pasar Borong.
7. Be sure to see a sign "NAHRIM" on your right.
8. Go under (a tunnel) the KL/Putrajaya dediated highway and immediately turn left to reach the run site.
9. If you see Jusco, you have gone too far.

1. Proceed toward Kajang using the LDP Highway (this is the one cutting across the Federal Highway near Motorola and Sunway Lagoon).
2. Pay first toll (1.60) at Sunway and again 1.60 at Puchong Selatan.
3. Exit the LDP via exit 1123 for Serdang/Sri Kembangan.
4. Drive through 3 sets of traffic lights. You will pass a Jusco on your left.
5. Make a u-turn at the 3rd traffic light (Don says be careful here!) and immediately turn left into a service road leading to the KL/Putrajaya dedicated highway.
6. You will find a tunnel on your left - go through it to reach the run site. Park only on the left side of the road

Head towards Batu Caves roundabout. Take 3 o'clock.

From MRR2
Head towards Batu Caves roundabout. Take 12 o'clock.

Keep extreme left after exiting at the respective exits at the roundabout and take the slip road on the left. Go 0.7 km and turn left at the T-junction.

At Km 1 which is a 4-junction traffic light, (mosque on your right), turn right towards Jalan Sg. Tua.

At Km 5, turn right towards Ulu Yam / Genting Highlands. At Km 11, turn right into Riverstone Eco Resort carpark (be careful of oncoming cars) and park your car there.
