Run site: Royal Selangor Club Sports Annexe, Kiara

The weather was wet. It rained cat and dogs at around 5.00pm. The volunteer co hares came back very wet before the run. I have to ask them whether they have laid enough papers; Don was not sure but gave me some paper to lay along the run, just in case lah. The run started with the pack taking off from the club to the no mans land but to find there is fencing built. The owner of the land must have wanted to keep the death in peace and avoid trespassing. Our die hard runners some climb the fence but mostly walk to the edge to cross over to continue with the run. The paper took us to the right going towards TDI where the first check was found. Raj suggested to check back but walk forward instead, but you know your truly also sense it to be forward trail, so the paper was found going into the path on the right taking us to the pond and good running tracks. Along the trails our gm Charles helps lay more papers for the back runners to catch up. Raj found the second check down the hill with me following close to asked if it is a check. I again sense that the trail that would take us up the track but to find Kernial already there and not running yet. I think it's because the paper was very close to the check and he not sure whether it is a false trail. Yours truly over took him and again fall back for Kernail to lead to the third check. We spitted to look for the joining trail on the left but to hear on on calling straight down and onto the tar roads leading home. The home run is probably about 3.5 km with the first runner in at 6.52pm Overall a wet and hard running trail with good paper lay out. There was a slight confusion to recognizing our papers because the Dalmatian also has their run very recently at the same site. Suggestion - that the hare should pick up others paper quite similar to ours to avoid confusion in the run in the future. Yours truly about the run - Daniel Ng |
